Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum is the capital of Kerala and is also the largest city in the state with a population of around 1.68 million. Long stretches of breezy backwaters and pristine sandy beaches make the city a huge attraction for tourists across the world. It is also home to Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, considered to be the richest temple in the world.
Thiruvananthapuram has a climate that borders between a tropical savanna climate and a tropical monsoon climate, enjoying all the three seasons of summer, monsoon and winter.

The famous Padmanabhaswamy temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu is also located in this city. The Temple is constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture which is worth appreciating.
For those who love wildlife, the Neyyar dam and wildlife sanctuary is a great place to visit. There's also a crocodile farm and Lion and deer safari park in the vicinity.
