Must Read: Delhi Weather Forecast Snapshot
Small-scale circulation continues to persist over Haryana, in the close vicinity of Delhi. There are two other circulations, one each over Punjab and North Rajasthan. The east-west trough is not well marked now. A series of cyclonic circulations keeps the wind pattern ill-defined and variable. Southern parts of Haryana and the adjacent region of Rajasthan are having weather activity. Narnaul, Rewari, Alwar, Dausa, and Bharatpur are expected to have rain and thundershowers in the forenoon/afternoon hours today. The same weather belt may reach some parts of Delhi to have fleeting light showers.
Tomorrow onwards, no significant weather system is likely to be seen in the Delhi area. The only noticeable feature will be windy conditions for the next 5-6 days. The mercury is likely to rise, but strong winds will oppose any oppressive conditions on account of heat. Day temperatures will breach the 40°C mark after a gap of more than two weeks. Heat wave conditions will still remain abated. Subdued pre-monsoon activity will prevail from tomorrow onwards, and the fresh spell is unlikely before 12th June 2025. A prolonged dry spell will raise the heat index and also make it difficult to catch up with the monthly rainfall for the capital city.
