The city of Mumbai has been seeing dry weather conditions for the past few months. However, April 15 and 16 are all set to see some rains over the city of Mumbai.
Usually also, after October, the city remains dry only except from a few showers that do appear due to appearance of some systems in the Arabian Sea during the Northeast Monsoon season.
April sometimes sees some rains making appearance over the city of Mumbai due to systems forming in the vicinity of Maharashtra. The monthly average rains for Mumbai stands at about 9 mm, after which it sees some increase in May and significantly increases from June until September.
Currently, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Madhya Maharashtra along with this a trough will extend from West Madhya Pradesh to Arabian Sea across Madhya Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Thus, rainfall activity is all set to make an appearance over the city tomorrow and day after, i.e. April 15 as well as 16. This will be the first Pre-Monsoon spell over the city of Mumbai. This may cause some drop over the temperatures after this rain episode, i.e. April 17.
These rains and thundershowers will occur during the late afternoon hours only because of this being a Pre-Monsoon activity. Minimum temperature may see a drop after these rains.
