The Weather Systems Over The Country
Conditions are becoming favorable for the further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into more parts of the north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, the remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Bihar during the next 2 to 3 days. The monsoon is also expected to advance into parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the same period.
Thereafter, during the subsequent 2 to 3 days, the monsoon may progress further into more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and southeast Rajasthan.
The seasonal trough at mean sea level is extending from Punjab to Bihar across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Northeast Assam.
Another trough is extending from central Madhya Pradesh to the east-central Arabian Sea across north Maharashtra between 4.5 and 5.8 km above mean sea level.
A cyclonic circulation over the east-central Arabian Sea off the Maharashtra coast at 5.8 km above mean sea level has merged with the above system.
A cyclonic circulation is also present over North Odisha and adjoining areas at 5.8 km above mean sea level.
Another cyclonic circulation lies over the north Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Bangladesh between 1.5 and 5.8 km above mean sea level.
A circulation is also persisting over Saurashtra at 3.1 km above mean sea level.
