NASA has taken photography to another level by clicking the world's largest picture ever! NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has captured a gigantic and surreal image of the Andromeda galaxy. The Andromeda galaxy, also known as M31, is actually our neighbouring galaxy and is home to some 1 trillion stars in total. The 1.5 billion pixel image of M31 requires around 4.3 GB of disk storage space. The resolution of the image is a stupendous '69,536 x 22,230 pixels' and the complete image has been stitched using 411 Hubble images. Moreover, you would need more than 600 HD television screens to display the whole image!
While going through the image, you will be covering some 100 million stars and will be travelling over 40,000 light years within minutes. All this thanks to a fly-through video shared by a You Tuber. The real beauty of it comes from the fact that the image gives you only a vague idea about the sheer vastness of the universe. Don't forget that in this image, you go through just one single galaxy. Imagine what the whole universe would look like if captured in a single photograph!
