This November has been the warmest in Germany since the year 1881. The warm spell came to an end with a sudden burst of snowfall last week. This was followed by a slow moving storm system, which will bring scattered rainfall over much of Germany on Tuesday. The system will start moving from the southwest to the northeast. It will affect the southern and central parts of Germany on Tuesday morning and will move towards northeast and eastern parts of Germany by Tuesday night.

Only light rainfall to moderate rainfall is expected and the average rainfall will be below 12 mm. Maximum amount of rainfall is likely in central Germany including Cologne, Frankfurt and Nuremberg. In Berlin, scattered rainfall will occur till Tuesday night and the rainfall will be less than 6 mm. The rainfall belt will move away from Berlin before dawn on Wednesday.

As the system moves away, dry and mild conditions will be experienced over much of Germany on Wednesday. The maximum temperatures will be between 8-11°C across entire Germany. Dry and mild conditions will prevail till Friday, when a weak system will cause some rainfall across the region.

The same weather system will bring rain over Northern Ireland and Scotland throughout Wednesday. The areas to be affected include Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Some rainfall likely over Wales and northern England during the afternoon hours. However, central and southern England will be unseasonably warm.

On Thursday, rainfall is expected across central and southern parts of England and Wales while the northern areas will remain dry. Rainfall is expected to return on Friday over the northern regions as a strong storm system will bring gusts and rain.

Other parts of Europe including the Scandinavian countries will experience similar conditions. All this weather activity is attributed to recurring storm systems that developed over the Atlantic and moved over UK and Northern Europe.
