When the storm made landfall, it was a category one hurricane close to the Mississippi River’s mouth in Louisiana, during the late hours of Saturday, with maximum sustained winds reaching up to a whopping 137 kmph.

The chaos did not end right there but the storm did make a second landfall as well in the region of Biloxi, in Mississippi. However, after these two landfalls, the system did degrade into a tropical storm. However, if weather experts are to be believed, storm surge does remain over the region.
