Every year, the day after the full moon in March, the festival of Holi is celebrated. Also known as the festival of colors, Holi commemorates the victory of good over evil. It also symbolizes the ending winter season and the upcoming spring harvest season. Holi will be celebrated on March 2 this year.

People usually spend this day smearing colored powder all over each other's faces, throwing colored water at each other, having parties, wearing different clothes and dancing under water sprinklers. Different Holi events with music, rain dances, and colors are organized especially in Delhi and Mumbai.

Talking particularly about the clothes, you can wear prints and techniques like Bandhani and batik for your Holi celebrations.

If you are still confused, let us help you with a few fashion tips and outfit options for your annual Holi party:

According to the mood of the festival, the deep blue color of the indigo dye looks perfect. Hand block floral and abstract indigo motifs done on soft and durable cotton would probably give you the best Holi brunch outfit.

For a boho-chic outfit, the use of Ajrak colors which are extracted from madder roots, berries, roses, leaves, turmeric, saffron and oak bark is the best way.
