These were aided by the passage of a western disturbance across the northern mountains. With the retreat of the monsoon, now there is no seasonal trough over the northern plains. Also, there is no likelihood of any active western disturbance over the hills for the next one week. So, Delhi will find bright and sunny days right through the weekend. Delhi has received above-normal rainfall during the monsoon season, a repeat of last year, albeit, season 2025 recorded excess rainfall of 41% as compared to above-normal rainfall of 16% during 2026.
