Southwest Monsoon remains active over entire west coast. An off-shore trough along the coast is extending from south Gujarat to Kerala, giving rain over places along the trough line, particularly heavy rain over coastal Karnataka, Konkan Goa and coastal Maharashtra including Mumbai.

On the eastern side, good monsoon showers are expected over Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, West Bengal and remaining parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha are witnessing good pre-monsoon showers. We can now expect Monsoon to reach over these places any time soon.

A cyclonic circulation is prevailing over Bihar and Jharkhand region and trough from this is extending up to south Odisha. On Tuesday, we can expect light rain and thundershowers activities across the well-marked trough line. Another cyclonic circulation is brewing in Bay of Bengal with potential of turning into low pressure area, will be giving moderate to heavy rains over Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

While, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh will witness light rain as cyclonic circulation over Assam and Meghalaya region has become less-marked.

Moving on to North India, the system which had been giving rain over plains of Northwest India, has now become less marked. And the region will now be witnessing mostly dry weather conditions. However, mild dust storm and thunder shower activities cannot be ruled out.

With this people across North India will now have gear up for hot and humid weather conditions, as day temperatures will start rising gradually along with increased humidity levels due to the presence of large amount of moisture in the air.
