Unrelenting heat wave across the country has killed more than 1,100 people over a fortnight. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were the worst hit with temperatures constantly above 45°C degrees. But now we can expect some relief. In fact, here we can see that temperatures have come down marginally in most parts, barring Odisha.

The Western Disturbance is moving away. Accordingly, rain will reduce and temperatures will start rising in the hills. The cyclonic circulation over Pakistan and adjoining north Rajasthan could lead to thundershowers in north and central Rajasthan. Southwesterly winds blowing over entire North and Central India will lead to drop in temperatures.

The cyclonic circulation over Arunachal Pradesh will bring fairly widespread rain over entire Northeast India. Assam and Meghalaya could receive heavy showers tomorrow.

The trough from the cyclonic circulation over East India will extend up to Andhra Pradesh. We could expect some thundershowers all along the well-marked trough line. Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, north Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka could also receive some thundershowers, resulting in temperature drop.

We are approaching the onset date of Monsoon. In the next couple of day, Kerala could start receiving good showers.

Meanwhile, here’s a look at the temperatures in major cities on Thursday.

Weather in Delhi remains hot with maximum temperature hovering around 43°C.

Maximum temperature in Bangalore will settle around 32°C
