Weather Forecast for Apr 11: Rain in Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka

The Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas. Thus, rainfall is expected to continue over the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Higher reaches may also witness some snowfall activity.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Pakistan and adjoining Northwest India. A trough is extending from this across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Thus, we expect scattered rain and thundershowers with isolated dust storm over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Intensity will be much more over the foothills of Punjab.

A trough is extending from North Madhya Pradesh to South Peninsula across Vidarbha and Marathwada. Thus, patchy rains are expected over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and isolated pockets of Vidarbha.

A cyclonic circulation is persisting over Bangladesh and a trough is running from Uttar Pradesh to Assam across Bihar and West Bengal.

With this, we expect good rains over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. Isolated rains are also likely over foothills of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Coastal Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal may also receive thundershowers activities at few places.

The north-south trough, extending up to Interior Tamil Nadu across Karnataka. Hence, scattered showers are likely over Kerala, Interior and South Tamil Nadu and isolated over Karnataka. Humid winds from Bay of Bengal are increasing moisture over Coastal Andhra Pradesh which may give thundershowers at one or places of the state.
