The weather system in Bay of Bengal has weakened from deep depression to depression and is centered over Northwest Bay. As it is inching closer to the coast, due to this we expect further weakening of the system. It will move more north northeastwards towards West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh coasts.

Hence, heavy rains are expected over the coastal districts of West Bengal, accompanied with squally winds. Good amount of rains with few heavy falls are expected over southern parts of Northeast India such as Tripura and Mizoram.

Moving down South, isolated light rain is possible in Kerala and South Tamil Nadu.

Central India, dry weather will continue over the entire region including Gujarat with sunny sky.

Talking about North and Northwest India, isolated rain and snow is likely over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir in wake of the approaching Western Disturbance. As per weathermen, the intensity of the weather activity will increase from December 11.

Meanwhile in the plains, night temperatures which are settling below the normal over most parts such as Punjab, Haryana and Delhi will now rise.

A cyclonic circulation is over Rajasthan; this would cause few showers over western districts of the state such as Jaisalmer, Barmer and later during the late evening will cover Jaipur.
Delhi pollution will remain on the lower side in wake of the prevailing strong winds.
