Weather Forecast for Dec 11: Severe Cyclone Vardah moves closer to Andhra, Snow in Kashmir, Himachal

The severe cyclone storm Vardah in west central Bay of Bengal has moved further west-northwestwards, closer to the Andhra Coast. Now as the system is approaching the coast, it will start weakening gradually.

The system will give start giving light rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh throughout the Sunday, but intensity will increase significantly by evening.

North Coastal Tamil Nadu including Chennai could also see some isolated showers.

Meanwhile up in the country, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir, while its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab.

As a result, we can expect light to moderate rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. While isolated showers are likely over North Punjab.

Moderate to dense fog will continue to grip northern and eastern plains on Sunday. However, there will be no major change in the temperatures profile over the region.
