Weather Forecast for June 4: Rain in Mumbai, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu; heatwave in Rajasthan

Mumbai rains finally made an appearance, breaking the prolonged dry spell. The good news is that these rains are here to stay now, paving way for pleasant and breezy weather conditions.
Konkan & Goa and South Maharashtra may receive good rainfall activities. According to weathermen, pre-Monsoon activities over Mumbai are likely increase further. Isolated rains may also occur over South Gujarat.

A cyclonic circulation is seen over South Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. A trough is extending from this system up to Andhra Pradesh. Therefore, we expect scattered rain and thundershower activities over parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

Weather of Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh will remain dry and hot. Heatwave is possible over parts of West Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan.

A cyclonic circulation is also seen over Southwest Bay of Bengal. In wake of this, light to moderate rains to continue over many places of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Scattered rains are also possible over Rayalaseema and isolated over Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile up in North India - Weather over the Western Himalayas is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy sky.

A cyclonic circulation lies over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab but due to lack of moisture we do not expect any weather activity over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR. Heatwave conditions are also expected to continue over many parts of Rajasthan. Meanwhile, isolated dust storm and thunderstorm activities cannot be ruled out.

However, in East and Northeast India - An east-west trough is seen running from East Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh. Besides this, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Sikkim and adjoining areas.

Thus, we expect light to moderate rains to occur over parts of Bihar, East Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. Isolated rains are also possible over Odisha and Southeast Uttar Pradesh.
