Progressing further, Southwest Monsoon has now reached Goa and is likely to reach Maharashtra in the next 24 hours.

As the Monson nears, Mumbai has also started recording heavy rains. All thanks to the cyclonic circulation that over South Konkan and Karnataka. Further, heavy to very heavy showers are expected over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal and North Interior Karnataka.

Meanwhile, scattered light to moderate rains are likely over Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and subdued showers over Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, a trough is extending from East Madhya Pradesh up to South Konkan. With this, light to moderate rains are possible over parts of East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. In fact, Vidarbha may witness one or two heavy spells.

Up in East, a cyclonic circulation is marked over South Bihar and Jharkhand, that would give scattered rain and thundershowers along the foothills of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and the northeastern states. Light showers may also occur over Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.

Another circulation is seen over Punjab and a trough is extending along northwestern plains. Thus, scattered rains are likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, dust storm or thunderstorm likely over at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Delhi will witness hot and humid weather.
