March 20, 2017 5:29 PM | Skymet Weather Team

To begin with North India, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir, which will give rain and thundershowers over the hilly region. Higher reaches of the region may see some snowfall activity. Gradually, the intensity of these weather activities will increase.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. This system will not have any impact over the northwestern plains, thus dry weather will remain prevalent over the area along with central parts of the country. Temperatures are likely to scale up over both these regions.

Moving to Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Assam and adjoining areas. With this, scattered rain and thundershowers will continue over northeastern states. Intensity of rainfall is likely to be more over East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Down South, a trough is extending over Coastal Odisha, which will give light rain activity over the area. Interior parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala could also witness some rain activity.
