The depression in east-central Arabian Sea has further intensified into a deep depression, about 500 km off West of Goa. The system is likely to move in west-northwest direction and weaken gradually.
Moreover a trough is also extending from the system up to southeast Arabian Sea across Lakshadweep Island off the Kerala coast.

As a result, sea will be rough and strong to very strong winds with speed of 60-90 kmph will be witnessed along the West Coast. This will give moderate to heavy showers over Konkan and Goa, Kerala and Coastal Karnataka on Sunday. While, North Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and South Madhya Maharashtra can also witness scattered light rain.

Meanwhile, the well-marked low pressure area in Bay of Bengal has further moved away from the India and is now lying as a cyclonic circulation. Trough is extending from the system across north and central Bay of Bengal up to Tamil Nadu coast. With this scattered light rains are likely over Andaman Islands and Tamil Nadu. Rain activity will go light over Northeast region and but scattered light rain will be witnessed over few places.

A trough can be seen extending from Bihar up to coastal Andhra Pradesh. Accordingly, weather activity can be seen all along the trough line. While, northwest and Central India will continue with dry weather and clear skies on Sunday.

Day temperatures will continue to settle in high 30°C. Particularly parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat which may record maximum temperatures in early 40°C as well. However, we can expect some relief from the soaring mercury during next 24-48 hours due to change in wind pattern.
