Weather Forecast Jan 14: Heavy snow in Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, rain in Punjab and Delhi

Up in North, a Western Disturbance is moving away eastwards and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over North Punjab and adjoining area. Moderate rain and snow with isolated heavy spells may continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. These rain and snowfall activities would subside by the afternoon of January 14. Meanwhile, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected in North Punjab, North Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Isolated hailstorm cannot be ruled out. Delhi may get to see isolated rain and thundershowers until the morning of January 14.

No significant activity is expected in East India. However, moderate to dense fog is likely in East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during morning hours. The weather will remain dry and there would be a marginal increase in minimum temperature of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. The weather of Northeastern states is likely to remain dry.

Talking about Central India, the induced Cyclonic Circulation over West Rajasthan has moved away, therefore the weather of Rajasthan and Gujarat will become dry. The states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh may also witness dry weather conditions. Maharashtra may experience partly cloudy to cloudy sky, however, the weather may remain dry with a marginal increase in minimums. Mumbai may experience dry weather with partly cloudy sky.

Down South, humid easterlies will blow over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. The weather, however, will remain mainly dry. Isolated light rain is likely in Lakshadweep but the weather of Kerala, Karnataka may remain dry and warm.
