Weather Forecast Sept 7: Moderate to heavy rains in Nagpur, Indore, Surat, Udaipur, Kozhikode

A Low-Pressure Area is over Interior Odisha and Chhattisgarh and a Cyclonic Circulation persists over Gujarat. Now, we expect heavy to very heavy rains over parts of Vidarbha. While light to moderate with one or two heavy spells can be seen over Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Gujarat, South and Southeast Rajasthan. Places like Nagpur, Chandrapur, Amravati, Hoshangabad, Betul, Khandwa, Khargone, Indore, Dwarka, Porbandar, Surat, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Kota will see moderate to heavy rains. While scattered light rains are possible over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. Mumbai might see moderate showers with one or two intense spells.

Talking about East, wherein the rains will now decrease over Odisha but scattered light to moderate rains will still be a sight. Similar weather can be seen over Jharkhand, West Bengal and Northeast India. Kolkata, Ranchi, Jamshedpur may see light rains while Patna, Gaya may see dry weather. Subdued Monsoon conditions will prevail over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Heading towards South, wherein an off-shore Trough is extending from South Gujarat to Kerala. Therefore, moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are possible over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala but northern districts of Telangana may experience heavy to very rains in wake of the Low-Pressure Area. Whereas, scattered rains are possible over North Interior Karnataka, and rest Telangana. Light rains at few places of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka can be a sight with Monsoon to remain subdued over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.On the other hand, Andaman and Nicobar Islands might see moderate rains with one or two heavy spells while Lakshadweep may witness light rains. Bengaluru, Chennai to be nearly dry while light rains in Hyderabad stands a chance.

Up in the North, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan but in the absence of any significant weather system, we expect almost dry weather to continue over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and as well as West Uttar Pradesh. Delhi will continue to witness warm and humid weather.However, isolated localised rain and thundershower activities cannot be ruled out. Scattered light to moderate rains is possible over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh with isolated spells over Jammu and Kashmir.
