The third test match between India and Australia will be played in MS Dhoni’s home ground in Ranchi. While Dhoni is very much likely to be missed in the match but the action between Kohli and men in blue against the Smith and his boys will be in full swing.

For a while now the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was very strict about his 5-bowler strategy in most of the test matches he captained. Be it against the teams like West Indies, New Zealand, England and Bangladesh. It was the constant bowling attack and dependency on his bowlers kept him victorious.

But Australia has always been a different and difficult team to deal with. And coming from a 19 unbeaten matches, the first test match against Australia was a wakeup call for India. The 333 run defeat shook Kohli and Indian team to reevaluate the strategies in place. And that is exactly what they did in the second test in Bangalore which won them the game.

As India takes on Australia in Ranchi on March 16, allegations against the former skipper MS Dhoni have surfaced. Allegations involve him personally guiding the grounds men to curate a pitch that will favor the Indian spinners, Ashwin and Jadeja. Such practice was already done by the South Africans when they played home games. Pitches were formed in a way that ball would skid off the track faster.

Such practice, be it alleged or not, were also done by the Australians and Indian cricket team will pull off all the tricks under their hat to outsmart the mighty Aussies.

In terms of weather, the sky will be clear on all five days of the game; occasional few blots of clouds can be expected over Ranchi. The temperatures are expected to be in the comfortable mid 20°Cs. Maximums will be around 30°C mark whereas minimums will be around 15-16°C. Day will be slightly warmer but mornings and evenings will be way cooler than usual.

Will the comfortable weather of Ranchi help the Indian side, we have to wait and see!
