It is that time of the year again. The IPL season has begun. The almost two-month event of pure entertainment and glamour has made its first appearance on Wednesday. In fact, the defending champions SunRisers Hyderabad have already won their first game against the runners up, Royal Challengers Bangalore in the city of Nizams.

Today, the second match of the IPL is scheduled at Pune. The Rising Pune Supergiants will face the mighty Mumbai Indians in their first face off, of the instalment. The interesting point here is that this game is the first game of the entire IPL series where MS Dhoni will be playing as a non-captain.

When the Pune team was announced, Dhoni was removed from captaincy and Steve Smith was made the new leader for RPS. Both the Mumbai Indians as well as the Rising Pune Supergiants are geared up to win their first game.

Weather wise, the city of Pune will remain warm and dry during the late evening hours. While the temperature will settle around 31 degrees during the start of the match, by the latter half, the temperature will drop down to 26 degrees. As far as humidity is concerned, the levels will remain on the lower side.

The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm and will be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. This year, IPL is hosting 8 opening ceremonies instead of one. At Pune today, Riteish Deshmukh will grace his presence.
