Let us take a look at the weather forecast for the week:
North and Northwest India
Light rain and thundershowers are expected in Uttarakhand, parts of Northwest Rajasthan and Southwest Punjab on February 24. Scattered light showers may continue in Uttarakhand until February 25. Another spell of rain and snow will commence in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on February 28. On February 29 and March 1, scattered rains are expected in the northern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
Scattered rain and thundershowers are expected to continue in East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh until February 25. Thereafter, the weather will become dry in entire Central India. Rains with thundershower activities will once again reappear in East Madhya Pradesh, parts of Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha on February 29 and will continue until March 1. The weather of Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and rest Maharashtra will remain dry.
Dry weather will continue in the entire southern peninsula, but, light rain and thundershowers may occur in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh on February 25 or 26. Thereafter, the weather will once again go dry. On February 29 and March 1, isolated thundery activity or light rain may ocur in the northern parts of Telangana and Kerala. Rest south India will remain dry only.
East and Northeast India
On February 24 and 25, we expect fairly widespread rain and thundershowers in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand. Scattered rain is likely in East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Scattered light rains are expected in Northeast India on February 24, which will become widespread on February 26 and 27. By February 27, rain activities will reduce significantly from the eastern parts of the country and by the end of February, the weather activities will also subside in most parts of Northeast India. However, between February 28 and March 1, we expect light rain and snow in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Light rain is also likely in Assam.
