Let us take a look at the weather forecast for the week:
Light to moderate rain and thundershower activities to continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand until June 25. Thereafter the intensity will go down. Isolated rain and thundershower is expected. Isolated dust storm and rain activities will continue over Northwest Plains including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. On and off rains will continue throughout the week with varied intensity. Temperatures will remain under check due to flow of easterly winds.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected over Southeast Rajasthan and adjoining parts of West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra as well as over Konkan and Goa. Scattered rains are possible over Gujarat region, West Rajasthan and isolated over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Marathwada for the next two days until January 25. Thereafter, light to moderate rain and thundershower will be seen over many places over Madhya Pradesh and at a few places over interior Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. Rains will increase over Konkan and Goa on June 26 and 27. On June 28, scattered rain and thundershower is possible over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Konkan and Goa with isolated heavy rains over Gujarat region and interior Maharashtra.
Light to moderate rains and thundershowers with one or two heavy spells are possible over Coastal Karnataka and scattered light to moderate rains are possible over Kerala. Interior parts will get subdued rains however scattered rains are possible over North Interior Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Interior Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Tamil Nadu might get isolated rains. Heavy rains are at a possibility over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. After June 26, rain activities will go down over Kerala. After June 27 rains will also reduce over Coastal Karnataka. Isolated rains will continue over interior parts until June 30.
East and Northeast India
The rain intensity will go down over East India but will increase over Northeast India. Moderate to heavy rains are expected to continue with one or two heavy spells until June 28. Rains will be subdued over Jharkhand, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and East Uttar Pradesh. Isolated rains may occur until June 27. Thereafter, from June 28 onward rain activities will increase over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and parts of Jharkhand. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are possible over Bihar until June 30.
