The weather of Bihar has remained dry since a long time. The initial days of the month did bring a few traces of rains at parts of the state but no heavy rainfall has been observed in the state of Bihar.

However, now rains are expected over in Bihar. As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation persists over Chhattisgarh and a trough is also seen extending along the foothills of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Moreover, the southwesterly winds are also feeding in moisture over the region from the Bay of Bengal. In the wake of both these features, most places of the state particularly the northern regions of Bihar are likely to observe the cloudy weather.

In fact, at present also, a few regions of the state are observing cloudy weather conditions. Skymet Weather reiterates that on account of the aforesaid weather systems, rain along with thunder squalls and dust storms are expected over most parts of North Bihar including Patna.

These rains are likely to remain in effect today evening onward and are expected to continue occurring until tomorrow.

Though these rain activities will be for a shorter duration of time, the possibility of hailstorms in parts of the state cannot be ruled out. Strong to very strong winds are also likely to affect Bihar along with the state capital.

The day temperatures that were settling close to normal will also witness a significant drop within the next 24 hours. However, no steep fall in minimums is likely.
