The month of April began on a hot note for Delhi and has seen severe heat wave conditions as well. The Safdarjung observatory saw nine heat wave days while 15 for other locations.

However, a bit respite was there on account of a feeble Western Disturbance which resulted in some rains and even saw temperatures witnessing a drop. Moreover, the national capital has been witnessing maximum temperatures below 40 degrees for the past four days.

The lowest maximum was seen on April 21, at 35.2 degrees, while other days have seen maximums just missing 40 degree mark, making it below 40 degrees in a row.

Now, the respite period is over and temperatures should be on the rise. So much so that heat wave conditions may also be coming up, temperatures shooting beyond 43 degrees as well between April 27 to April 30.

A feeble Disturbance is in the Western Himalayas, which may give some clouding in the evening today. One odd flash of lightning may also be seen but nothing significant.
