Dust storm likely in Sri Ganganagar, Alwar, Bharatpur; to escape Jaipur, Jaisalmer

The affair of Rajasthan and dry weather is well known now. Dry and hot weather conditions have gripped most parts of Rajasthan. Moreover, dust storm and a thunderstorm have also become quite occasional. Though heatwave conditions have abated, but the soaring mercury levels have created the weather conditions pretty much similar to heatwave.

Due to the prevailing westerly winds over the state, the temperatures, especially over North and West Rajasthan, are experiencing heatwave like conditions. The mercury levels are settling in the lower 40s across these regions.

As per Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation western parts of Rajasthan and a trough is near Haryana and adjoining regions. In the wake of this, on and off scattered dust storm and thunderstorm is expected to show up in parts of North and Southeast Rajasthan.

Hence, districts such as Sri Ganganagar, Alwar, Bharatpur and Sikar in North while Kota, Chittorgarh, and Bundi in Southeast parts of the state will get to witness scattered dust storm and thunderstorm activities during the late afternoon or early morning hours in the next 2- 3 days.

However, Skymet Reiterates that districts in West Rajasthan like Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Jodhpur are likely to witness hot and dry weather conditions for the next few days. Additionally, the capital city Jaipur will also remain dry and warm.
