The city of joy Kolkata has been experiencing dry weather conditions from the past few days. As per weathermen, fog was witnessed at scattered places across West Bengal including Kolkata during the past day.

As per Skymet Weather, cold winds were prevailing over Kolkata and adjoining suburban regions. These winds are disturbed by a cyclonic circulation persisting over northern parts of Bay of Bengal.

Hence, moisture feeding is taking place from the Bay of Bengal. Due to the mixing of cold, warm and moist air mass, moderate to dense fog occurred over Kolkata. It is anticipated that fog is likely to persist during the next 36 to 48 hours during early morning hours over Kolkata.
