
Both Goa and Coastal Karnataka receive heavy rains during Monsoon, mostly four digit rains on a monthly basis. For Mangalore, June's average rains settle at 1053 mm, which is even more than the annual rains of Delhi.
June is the rainiest month for Mangalore out of all Monsoon months, while Goa is a shade lower than July but still manages to see quite a lot of rainfall at 892 mm.
However, June 2022 has been on the lower end for both Goa and Mangalore as well as other parts of Coastal Karnataka. For Goa, Panjim has witnessed 733 mm of rains, as compared to 892 mm.
Today, light rains with few moderate spells. However, we can expect heavy rains around June 29 and 30 over both Goa and Coastal Karnataka, thus, the month will end on a heavy note. Rains will further reduce around July 1 and 2.
However, despite heavy rains during the end of June, Coastal Karnataka and Goa may not able to suffice to be able to reach its monthly target.
