As far as rainy days are concerned, the joint capital city has been witnessing on and off light rainfall activity for the past three to four days. In fact, during the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Chandigarh recorded a mere 4 mm of rain while Ambala witnessed a good 21 mm of rainfall.

Meanwhile, rain and thundershowers have been occurring over the city of Rock Garden and Ambala since the morning hours. The rainfall intensity is slightly higher as compared to the previous days.

These weather conditions can be attributed to the presence of the trough which is running from North Punjab in proximity of the city of Chandigarh.
