This year good rains have lashed Rajasthan. Both the western as well as eastern parts of Rajasthan have seen good showers. While West Rajasthan is observing a surplus of a whopping 54 percent, East Rajasthan is currently seeing normal rains.

Now, due to a well marked low pressure area over Kutch and adjoining areas, southern parts of the state of Rajasthan have witnessed good rains during the last 24 hours.

Currently the axis of Monsoon trough is also passing through Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. However, soon the system will start shifting northwards across Rajasthan therefore we expect scattered showers over many areas of Rajasthan during next 48 hours.

Particularly northern areas of Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu and Churu may receive good rains. Places like Ajmer, Jaipur and Siker may witness few moderate spells of rain. Light rains are expected over Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Barmer.

These rains of varied intensity will continue during the next 2 to 3 days. After 24 to 48 hours, rains will remain confined over northern and eastern parts of Rajasthan.
