The month of March seems to be bringing in a lot of weather for North India. Already two Western Disturbances have affected Western Himalayas in the month of March with two more WDs in line. Two back to back weather systems in the form of Western Disturbances are expected to approach the Western Himalayas in the next few days.

The first WD will affect the region on March 11 and will give good rain and snow over Western Himalayas particularly over the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on March 11 and 12.

After this, the system will move away and a lesser active WD will approach, giving rain and snow again on March 13 and 14.

In a nutshell, the northern hills are gearing up for rain and snow from March 11 to 14. The Intensity as compared to the other two states will be less in Uttarakhand.

The influence of this weather will also be seen over Northern Plains like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh on March 11.

By March 14, these WDs would have moved away Eastwards leading to completely clear weather over the hills.

For the next two days, we expect the minimum temperatures to increase further over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However, the maximum temperatures will fall by 3 to 4 degree Celsius over all the three states.

After the passage of WD, the day temperatures will rise while the minimums will fall. This time however, the fall in temperatures will not be very significant. And the Winter Chill which was being felt earlier will fade away leading to a pleasant weather.
