Surat, Valsad and Navsari almost witnessed flooding conditions. Even parts of Junagarh, Rajkot, Amreli and Bhavnagar remained tensed due to the additional rain over the area.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Surat 61.4 recorded mm of rain, followed by Veraval 47.3 mm, Baroda 35.4 mm, Rajkot 25.4 mm, Idar 23 mm, Amreli 12.8 mm, Bhavnagar 9.6 mm, Porbandar 4.4 mm, Okha 0.3 mm, Dwarka 0.1 mm.

At present, the cyclonic circulation is seen persisting over South Gujarat Coast and due to this system good rainfall activity is likely to continue along the coastal stations for next few days especially over Surat, Valsad and Navsari. However, rains may improve over Junagadh and Rajkot area.

However, rainfall activity is expected to increase over the northeastern parts of the state as few areas may receive few heavy to very heavy rains.

Places such as Deesa, Banswara, Mehsana, Godhra will be the most affected in the coming 24 hours. Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Ananda and Baroda will continue with moderate to heavy rains.

Only extreme western parts of Kutch region will remain dry but rest all parts of the state will receive light to moderate rainfall activity.
