The Low pressure area has formed over the Bay of Bengal which is away over the Andaman Sea and very close to the equatorial region of the state of Malacca. The system is quite organized and is well supported by cloud cluster of that area. The weather system is now moving westward and intensifying further and is likely to become a depression by December 6.
In view of that, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will be seeing heavy rains today including Hut Bay, Nancowry, Car Nicobar, Port Blair, Mayabunder and Long Island. Heavy to very heavy rains will be seen today. Tomorrow, the system moves further, mostly moderate rains with isolated heavy showers will be seen.
Thereafter, rains will be moderate but rains will continue. Rough sea conditions will be seen along the coast.
