Hyderabad to remain dry; light showers likely in Visakhapatnam

Slowly and gradually, the rainfall activity over the Southern Peninsular India has started witnessing a declining trend. Until 2-3 days back, rains in contrast with North India were more confined to the states of South India. However, from the past 2-3 days, the rains over most parts of South India had reduced.

Similar is the weather condition for Andhra Pradesh and its neighboring state, Telangana. Both the states are at present reeling under dry and warm days due to the absence of any significant rains. Not many changes in the weather pattern were observed in the last 24 hours and both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh failed to record any good showers.

However, isolated place such as Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh managed to record a few traces of rains in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, Hyderabad in Telangana remained dry.

As per Skymet Weather, the reason for a downfall in the rain activity over these two states can be associated with the absence of any significant weather system prevailing over the region. At present, the well-marked low-pressure area can be seen prevailing over the west-central Bay of Bengal.

As both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh including Rayalaseema does not fall in the vicinity of this weather system, the rains are expected to remain absent over both the states. However, the districts lying on the north coastal belt of Andhra Pradesh such as Visakhapatnam, Kalingapatnam, and Tuni can get to witness some light spells.

On the other hand, almost the entire Telangana including Hyderabad is likely to remain dry for at least another 2 days. Though clouding may be a chance and the maximum temperatures may witness a declining trend.
