Light rains in Andhra; dry weather to persist in Rayalaseema till July 6

Intermittent showers have been whipping the coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh since last many days. With this, the stated region remains rain surplus by 10%. On the other hand, the weather over Rayalaseema remained more or less dry with scanty rainfall. Due to which the cited region remained rain deficit by 5%. Even considering the normal rainfall of Rayalaseema, it is comparatively less than Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

As per weatherman at Skymet Weather, almost dry weather conditions are expected to persist over Rayalaseema during the upcoming three to four days. At the same time, the coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh would witness sporadic light showers.

Further, a cyclonic circulation is likely to develop near Coastal Andhra Pradesh in mid-levels that will gradually move towards the west over the stated region. Consequently, rains will increase by July 6 and during the same time, we can expect moderate to heavy showers over the region.

On a similar note, Rayalaseema could also witness few good spells including places like Kurnool and Anantapur.

With the rains, temperatures will drop significantly and settle in high 20s, leading to comfortable weather over most parts of Andhra Pradesh.

Gradually the weather of Rayalaseema will go dry, nonetheless on and off rains will continue over Coastal Andhra Pradesh including places like Vijayawada and Ongole.
