Four month long rainy season Southwest Monsoon Season have been winded-up on September 30th. This Monsoon sesason India has receieved around 957.6 mm of rain so far (from June 1 to September 30, 2020) which is 9% surplus of the LPA.
Around 85% area of the country have experienced normal or above normal Monsoon rains this year. Sikkim is the large excess state with 60% surpluse rains while Laddakh stands top in the list of deficient states.
In the last 24 hours, Rajkot in Gujarat has been the rainiest place in India with 70 mm of rainfall. Several other areas of south and central India also received moderate to heavy rains at some places.
