Monsoon showers to revisit Delhi, rainy weekend ahead

Prolonged spell of Monsoon rains is all set to revisit Delhi. The city has been witnessing dry weather conditions for the last two days, which has once again led to increase in temperatures and high levels of humidity.

However, we expect Monsoon rains to start making an appearance from Friday evening. Initially it will be light rains, which will be intensifying July 23 onward.

According to Skymet Weather, the axis of Monsoon trough that is presently running close to foothills of Himalayas will gradually start shifting southwards after the next 24 hours. Thereafter, it will be moving in close proximity of Delhi-NCR giving rains over the national capital.

Weathermen predict, light rains will begin from July 22 evening that will peak on July 24 and July 25. Subsequently, on and off patchy rains will continue over Delhi for the entire week.

This will be a similar wet spell that Delhiites had witnessed during the last week. In wake of this, the maximum temperatures which are once again settling above normal in high 30s, will take a substantial dip. Minimum temperatures will also follow the same route and are likely to settle in mid 20s.
