After witnessing a long stretch of dry weather conditions, rain gods finally bestowed some kindness over the residents of Bangalore. In fact, the day before, heavy Pre-Monsoon showers were recorded over the city of Bangalore.

In a span of 24 hours, between 8:30 am on Tuesday and 8:30 am on Wednesday, the garden city recorded a whopping 38 mm of rain. This rainfall figure happens to be the highest in the last ten years. Not only this, the city also surpassed its monthly rainfall of 18.5 mm in a mere duration of 24 hours.

During the last 24 hours, the city did not receive rainfall. However, the coming 24 hours are expected to bring some rainfall activity over Bangalore. The rainfall intensity is expected to be light to moderate in nature. However, the possibility of one or two sharp spells during the last afternoon/evening hours cannot be ruled out.

These weather conditions will be attributed to the presence of a trough which is currently extending from the central parts of the country up to Kerala via Karnataka. Due to this, the moisture incursion has increased over Bangalore leading to cloud development.

The possibility of rainfall during the latter half of the day today and tomorrow cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will continue to settle close to the normal levels resulting in comfortable weather.
