With the Southwest Monsoon 2019 finally making an appearance over Kerala, Mumbaikars are looking forward to Mumbai rains.

Despite experiencing light drizzle at one or two places, yesterday, the city of dreams has been reeling under very warm and humid weather conditions.

However, with a major weather system brewing in proximity, it looks like Mumbai rains are all set to make an appearance.

According to Skymet Weather, an offshore Trough is extending from South Maharashtra up to Kerala coast. Moreover, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining region.

The system would intensify even more and start moving in north/northwest direction along Karnataka and Maharashtra coast, thus bringing in light to moderate rain and thundershowers over the southern parts of Maharashtra and Konkan coast including Mumbai.

As the system further intensifies and becomes a deep depression or a Cyclonic storm, Mumbai rains will make its presence felt, i.e. on June 11.

Moreover, weathermen are predicting rains, mostly light to moderate in intensity in many parts of Mumbai on June 11 and 12.

These rains will be the first good Pre Monsoon rains which will be seen over the city. In fact, Mumbai usually does not see Pre Monsoon rains too much and these showers are only observed just before the onset of Monsoon.

With rains making an entry, Mumbaikars would finally get rid of the warm and humid weather conditions that they have been battling for a long time now.
