
After the passage of Western Disturbance and its induced Cyclonic Circulation, temperatures have witnessed a steep drop in both the plains and the hills of North India. Winter chill has intensified to quite an extent with both the hills as well as the plains of North India.
In fact, cold day to severe cold day conditions have been seen in many parts of the plains of North India including the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh as well as Rajasthan.
For the state of Punjab, cities of Ferozepur, Amritsar, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar are the ones under the grip of cold day with some cities even witnessing cold wave conditions while some observing severe cold day conditions.

For Haryana, areas of Sirsa, Rohtak, Narnaul, Karnal, Ambala, Chandigarh, Hisar are witnessing similar weather conditions wherein Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, Kanpur, Lucknow, Hamirpur, and Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh are the sufferers.
These cold day conditions are expected to continue for a while as no significant system is in the offing for at least the next few days. Thus, the entire North India will remain under the grip of winter chill.
