
Both the hills and plains of North India are set to simultaneously see some rains. The last 24 hours have already given some rain over the hills.
Rainfall activity will occur on March 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, making it a week long activity over the plains and the hills. Rains will be more on March 18, 19 and 20 over both the regions.
The reason being the active Western Disturbance as well as the induced Cyclonic Circulation has moved across borders and is over West Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Winds have changed to easterlies thus the Western Disturbance may be seen interacting with easterly winds. Rains will not be heavy but the spatial distribution will be widespread in nature.
Rains will be observed over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and even West Uttar Pradesh. Cloud cover, rain may be seen over these areas and temperatures may dip to lower 30s and come to even below normal levels in some parts under 20s.
