Pre-Monsoon activities have been on a lesser side this time for the state of Madhya Pradesh. Till now, Madhya Pradesh has witnessed almost dry weather. In the past 24 hours, scattered light rains were recorded in Southeast Madhya Pradesh like Betul, Sagar, and Pachmarhi. Till date, West Madhya Pradesh is rain deficit by 89% while East Madhya Pradesh by a whooping of 92%.
Many parts of the state are reeling under heat wave conditions. At present, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajasthan. A trough from this system is extending up to Bangladesh across North Madhya Pradesh. Also, a deep depression which is in the Arabian Sea would bring in moisture incursion over the state in the form of humid southwesterlies.
