Weather System across the Country

A cyclonic circulation is over Northwest Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Punjab.

Another cyclonic circulation is over West Uttar Pradesh.

One more cyclonic circulation is over Southeast Uttar Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh.

The well-marked low pressure area lies over east central and adjoining central parts of Bay of Bengal.

A trough is extending from West Rajasthan to centre of well-marked low across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

An upper air trough is extending from Madhya Maharashtra to South Interior Karnataka in lower levels.

Another upper air trough extends from Southeast Uttar Pradesh to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Odisha.

Weather Activity in last 24 hours

Moderate to heavy rains occurred at many places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Islands, while at isolated places over Interior Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Telangana.

Light to moderate rains with squally winds were witnessed at scattered places over Delhi, East Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and northeastern states.

Isolated activity was also observed over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand.

Heatwave prevailed at scattered places over Rajasthan, and isolated places over Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

Weather Forecast for tomorrow

Heatwave conditions are likely to continue at some places over Rajasthan.

Light to moderate rain and thundershowers with squally winds are expected at some places over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and northeastern states.

Rain and thundershowers are also expected at few places over Punjab, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Konkan and Goa including Mumbai.

Heavy rains are likely to lash Kerala coast.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands will continue to record moderate to heavy rains.

Maximum temperatures are expected to decrease over northwestern plains and central parts of the country.

    I intend to travel from Surat to Mumbai on 16 July. In order to decide on the mode of transport I need to know the weather forecast. If it is going to rain heavily then I may book a train ticket else travel by car. Please suggest.

    sir aap ne moonsoon aane se pahle kaha tha ke es baar north india me moonsoon bauth acha rahega but sir north india me bilkul rain nahi ho rahe ha tu sir sahi information dejiye punjab me good rain kab hogi

    sir punjab ke kurali city me ab tak ak barish nahi hoye ha aap har roj batate ho rain hogi but hoti nahi ha kaya aap galat report nahi de rahe skymet tu kahta ha ke hamri perdiction bilkul sahi hote ha

      Monsoon has arrived in Delhi. While there are chances of on and off light rain, thundershowers throughout this week, heavy rain is possible in Delhi from the second half of July.
