The Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir.
A cyclonic circulation is over West Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan.
A trough is extending from North Uttar Pradesh to the northern parts of West Bengal across North Bihar.
Another trough is seen from East Bihar to North Bay of Bengal.
Another trough persists from Telangana to Comorin area across Interior Karnataka.
Weather activity in last 24 hours
Light to moderate rain occurred over many parts of the northeastern states. In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, North Lakhimpur recorded heavy rains of 62 mm, Pasighat 48 mm, Dibrugarh 22 mm, Silchar 41 mm and Haflong 12 mm.
Scattered rain and thundershowers were observed over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated rain occurred over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and East Uttar Pradesh. Srinagar, Banihal, Shimla, and Una witnessed 2 mm of rains each.
Scattered rains were observed over Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu and at one or two places of Karnataka.
Maximum temperatures remained near normal over most of the places.
Weather Forecast for next 24 hours
Rain and thundershowers are likely to continue over many parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Rest of the Northeastern states will also receive light to moderate rain at few places.
Rain and thundershowers are expected to continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till April 28, Thereafter, intensity is likely to reduce.
Dust storm or thundershower activities are also expected at a few places of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and some parts of Rajasthan.
Rain and thundershowers may also occur over Kerala, interior Karnataka, and Interior Tamil Nadu.
Isolated rains are possible over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Not much change in temperature profile is likely across the country.
