During the next three days, Pre Monsoon activities including thunderstorms and rain along with dust storm and strong winds are likely in Punjab, Haryana as well as Rajasthan mainly on May 15, 16 and 17.
These activities are not expected to be widespread but a mix of activities including light rain, dust storms, thunderstorms, and strong winds out in areas. Temperatures are reasonably high in these pockets for Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan wherein maximums are above 40 degrees, thus making it conducive for such activities.
A Western Disturbance is over the hills now and a circulation is over the plains. Another Western Disturbance is following on May 17. The combined effect of these systems will result in the activities. Today, weather activity will be isolated but from tomorrow, we can expect these weather conditions to spread out to many parts of the aforementioned states.
This activity will not have a very drastic effect on temperatures as it will not suppress the current maximums. However, these activities will help to not shoot up the maximums further.
