Now also, moderate rains over coastal parts of Karnataka and Kerala will be seen in the next 24 hours. Moreover, the northern parts of Karnataka may see some heavy showers as well. These rainfall activities will be seen over the next two to three days.

These rainfall activities will be attributed to the presence of an offshore trough which is extending from the state of Goa to Kerala. Rains are expected to be moderate over Chennai in the next 24 hours, isolated rains may be seen over some adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu.

On the other hand, rest of Tamil Nadu, as well as Karnataka, will continue to witness warm weather with humidity remaining on the higher side. Sky conditions may be cloudy, but temperatures will be on the higher side.
