March 6, 2022 2:03 PM |

Multiple weather systems are forming over the country which may eventually lead to rain activities covering many states. A Western Disturbance is approaching the Western Himalayas. A well-marked low-pressure area is inching closer to Tamil Nadu coast.

An induced Cyclonic Circulation will develop over western parts of Rajasthan. And finally, a North South trough is expected to develop from Interior Karnataka to Rajasthan across Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh.

Rain and snow may occur over the Western Himalayas between March 6 and 10. Light scattered rains are expected to commence over parts of Punjab on March 6. Southwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining parts of north Madhya Maharashtra may witness light scattered rain on March 7.

Rain activities will cover many parts of Rajasthan, parts of Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala on March 8. By March 9th, Delhi NCR and West Uttar Pradesh may also witness light rain or thunderstorm activities.

The weather of West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and East India is expected to remain almost dry. However, there may be isolated light rain or thunderstorm over parts of Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand on March 10. But, these rain thunderstorm activities will be very light, and it may be at one or two places.

We are in pre monsoon season now and these types of weather activities are common during pre-monsoon. However, this time, pre monsoon activities seem to be occurring bit early.
