The state of Kerala has recorded some heavy rains in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Kochi saw 83 mm showers of rain and Kozhikode 44 mm.
A Cyclonic Circulation is over northern parts of Kerala and adjoining South Karnataka with a trough extending northward running across Tamil Nadu as well as the state of Kerala.
More rains are coming up for Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the coming two to three days. Kerala has already recovered from the deficiency, dropping to 13 percent. This deficiency is expected to drop further due to the rains in the next two to three days.
