Delhi and the NCR region are all set to get a much-needed respite from the high humidity levels. Today, light isolated rainfall activity is expected to be seen in a few areas.

As we progress into the week, the rainfall activity is set to intensify over Delhi and the NCR region. Tomorrow, the evening hours and late-night hours will bring some light to moderate showers.

The real monsoon spectacle will unfold between August 4 and 6, as the national capital and its neighbouring areas are likely to witness moderate showers in many parts. On August 4, in particular, Delhi may experience a spell of heavier showers.

August 6 may see slightly lesser rainfall, and rains may ease However, the rains may ease out on August 7, gradually reducing the showers over the region thereafter.

This shift in weather patterns is largely attributed to the system in the Bay of Bengal, which has moved inland, resulting in the oscillation and the sift of the monsoon trough.
