Since the onset of the Monsoon Season, heavy downpour has never stopped in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, the eastern and the southern districts of Madhya Pradesh have received heavy rains. Satna and Umaria, for instance, have received 68 mm and 65.7 mm of rain, respectively. These heavy rainfall activities have already triggered waterlogging, flooding and day to day life have been affected badly. Due to continuous rains, most of the crops like Soybean have sustained damage in the region.

Moderate to heavy rains will continue to lash Umaria, Satna, Jabalpur, Damoh, Sagar, Sidhi till September 28 and places like Chhindwara, Betul, Hoshangabad may receive moderate to heavy showers during the next 24 hours. Thereafter, places like Tikamgarh, Guna, Gwalior, Shahjahanpur, Raisen, and Debas may also see some good rains.

Post-September 28, the intensity of the rains would start reducing over the entire state of Madhya Pradesh. From September 30, we expect scattered light rain with one or two moderate spells in the state.

Thereafter, we do not expect any heavy spell of rain over the entire state of Madhya Pradesh.

Thus, this would be the last heavy rainy episode for the State this Monsoon Season.
