The month of June remained very generous for Rajasthan in terms of rainfall. As of now, Rajasthan is large rain excess. Although the distribution of rainfall was not even over the state, rain activities were relatively less over Northwest Rajasthan. Districts such as Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh are still waiting for decent rain.

Rains will reduce significantly in western parts of Rajasthan and ongoing rain activities over Eastern parts of Rajasthan will also take a backseat for at least the next 2 to 3 days. Districts such as Jalore, Sirohi, Pali, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Shri Ganganagar, and Hanumangarh may witness almost dry weather.

Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy spells may continue over Eastern districts of Rajasthan for another 24 hours. Thereafter, rain activities may reduce significantly. Rain activities are expected to increase once again over Eastern parts of Rajasthan from July 5th but western districts will have to wait until July 7. Rain may commence over Western parts of Rajasthan from the night of July 6 or July 7 but the intensity will not be heavy. Rain will be light scattered with one or two moderate spells.

In a nutshell, we can say that farmers of Rajasthan will not face any difficulty in the coming days due to lack of rain.
